Dr Amanda Diaz is a specialist in both Adult and Paediatric Anaesthesia. She grew up in Newcastle and completed her first degree at the University of Newcastle before moving to Adelaide to attend Medical School and commence her career as a doctor. In 2009, Amanda returned to Newcastle to complete her specialist training in anaesthesia. Following this she moved to Melbourne to undertake a further fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne in Paediatric Anaesthesia.
In addition to her work in Melbourne, Amanda regularly attends conferences in the field of Paediatric Anaesthesia to ensure she is delivering the most up to date and evidence-based practice to her patients. She is also has an interest in Regional Anaesthesia.
Amanda holds both public and private VMO hospital appointments in the Newcastle and Hunter Region.
